Tonner continues his tradition of being inspiried by great pop-culture icons of the 20th century with his Friday Foster fashion doll collection. Introduced in 1970, Friday Foster was the first mainstreaam synicated comic strip to feature an African-American woman. The strip told the story of Friday and her day to day world as a photo journalist. This also marks the first time Tonner has explored the style of the 70s in a primary fashion doll collection.
